Hackney's PSPO on-lead schedule does not include Hackney Marshes; only the sports facilities are excluded.

On-lead areas: Dogs are excluded from the sports facilities. Council officers can ask you to put your dog on a lead if they are not under control, or are causing damage or acting aggressively.

A Public Spaces Protection Order applies here. Hackney's Public Spaces Protection Order (dog control) was updated on 18 March 2024. Maximum 6 dogs per person.

Homerton and Hackney Wick stations are both around 1 mile from the Hackney Marshes Centre. 82 pitches, plus a bird hide, conservation area and tree nursery.
