We could not find an official source stating the off-lead position here, so we are not stating one. Public Spaces Protection Orders are enforceable and carry fixed penalties — check the borough council’s current order before letting your dog off the lead.
Not currently verifiable - see the PSPO note. Under the 2022 Order, whose current status is unverified, Ravenscourt Park was not listed in Schedule 2 (dogs on lead), and the order contained no general off-lead prohibition. We are not publishing that as permission, because the order may no longer be in force.
On-lead areas: Under the 2022 Order (status unverified), Schedule 1 excluded dogs entirely from, verbatim: "Ravenscourt Park - Picnic area, walled garden, fenced area around the lake, & wildlife area", plus the borough-wide categories "All children’s play areas / All fenced sporting areas / All fenced war memorial areas". The order also stated: "You must put and keep any dog on a lead when directed to do so by an H&F Law Enforcement Team officer or other authorised council staff."

PSPO EXPIRY UNRESOLVED (2026-07-19). Off-lead status reverted from offlead_designated_areas to unverified because the order that created those zones reached its stated end date on 17 May 2026 and no renewal could be confirmed. The zone descriptions retained below are quoted from an archived capture of the council page and describe the 2022 Order as it stood; they must not be read as the current legal position. LBHF has been running degraded IT since a cyber incident first identified in late November 2025, which plausibly explains the unreachable governance records but is context, not evidence. TO RESOLVE: open the council PSPO page and its per-park sub-pages in a real browser, then search democracy.lbhf.gov.uk Cabinet Member Decisions for Nov 2025 - May 2026 for an extension report; failing that, ask the Law Enforcement Team (contact details published on the council page).
