This is the evidence for off-lead rules at Tooting Common and Tooting Bec Lido. It was read from wandsworth.gov.uk on 19 July 2026.

Wandsworth formally designates dog exercise areas alongside dog free areas and poop-scoop areas.

On-lead areas: Dogs are excluded from children's play areas, enclosed sports and fitness facilities, the lake, contractor's yards and depots, and the ecology and amphibian pools. Dogs must be on leads on all public highways, in car parks and in cafe outdoor eating areas.

A Public Spaces Protection Order applies here. Dogs must be on leads in specified areas including all public highways, and an authorised person may require a dog to be put on a lead. It is an offence to have more than 4 dogs at any one time.

Notes

Tooting Bec Lido is on the common but dogs are excluded from enclosed sports and fitness facilities. Wandsworth publishes a dog control map for the common which could not be fetched.
